A is actually one of the few good lists in this year's competition which appears to have degenerated in some obscurantist wank fantasy to find the 8 most obscure songs released between 1966 and 1975.

A wasn't really to my taste here, but I was quite taken by B which has a lot of personality and a couple of really nice selections, though it did go a bit naff at the end. Good to see a song from that great Moodymann album appear.

I don't like Japan, I don't get Can, there are 100 better Cale picks and anyone who thinks The Stranglers version is better than Dionne is plain wrong. Desperately looking for positives and in the end I'm rewarding the bravery of picking the Virginia Astley track. Personally I love From Gardens Where We Feel Secure, but not sure BCB would agree
