One of the weaker ties of the cup for me, I had to get to track four before I heard anything listenable on A. B is a mixed bag, but I did really like the Moodymann track in particular.

What's with all this Robyn Hitchcock? Anyway, it's a shoo-in for B here for me.

You see, I can never decide about that particular Japan track; do I really love it, or do I, in fact, really hate it?

In any case, it's a B

Finding B pretty tough to relate to, I'm afraid. I mean, even down to Hendrix and Can tracks (usually sure things) kind of boring me. The Virginia Astley's nice, though.

I don't like everything on A by a longshot, but it does hold together a bit better.

B is nice but doesn't really grab me, i'm afraid, maybe a bit of "right artist but wrong choice" for me. Good Can choice though, still sounds fresh. The high points on A (Frankie, Bo) get it through.

both lists are colourless and unremarkable.

A for diddley, but that's damning with faint praise.
