B reminds me of a squat party full of crusties. It's a little drab, but the Black Uhuru pick was nice.
A looks like one of the strongest lists to me. Always good to see the Augustus Pablo track and the Hopkirk & Lee was a delightful surprise.

I do like that Steve Miller track. Adding good stuff by Adam F, The Kinks, Lambchop, Maceo and Pablo finishes this as a contest without needing to check links.

A's theme seems to be "songs with good ideas that wear out their welcome."

B had me even before it got to the best stuff. Love that Black Uhuru track and, barring using something really obvious, Beefheart is always a welcome presence.
