Difficult to get excited about either list, but

at least has my favourite Blondie and goodies from Rod, the La's and Gil Scott-Heron. Not to mention the best new thing I've heard this Cup - that FABULOUS Lee Dorsey track.

A is a bit of a curate's egg, but I just don't like B very much: I already voted against it twice, and even the addition of Blondie can't save it..

i like both lists quite a bit. B has a more interesting sense of variety, with some nice surprises throughout, even though it doesn't all work for me. A is more consistently strong with a few real heavy-hitters on planet kath that i wouldn't wanna ignore.

i'll stick with A, but cheers to B.

A has definitely got itself going and has plenty to like. However, I'm going with B and it's greater variety and consistent quality.

Both these lists are really bringing it this round, but B is in my Top 2 favourites.....if it doesn't get to the final, I'll eat my shorts.

That Earl Brutus track is fucking dreadful and I do get the feeling that B is trying just a bit too hard, like that nerdy chemistry student who seems to quote the NME rather than say what (s)he really thinks. A inexplicably knocked me out - largely thanks to that fuckwit, Copehead - but it has marginally improved with age (mostly by not choosing shite like sub-standard Motorhead in subsequent rounds).

Two enjoyable lists for me, but B is a clear winner in the end with more songs I really like. Great Little Richard in A's last 3, but I've always had a problem with Sharkey's voice and the live setting doesn't help I think. Nice Steel Pulse though. Good choices with Blondie and Gil from B.

Tough call. A plays it safer but is more consistent, while B is a bit all over the map. From wonderful stuff like the Jansch to the Earl Brutus which I agree is dreadful.

I like the Undertones pick a lot, though of course picking in that 76-80 period is a BCB safe zone...

Even with crap like Kurt Vile and Earl Brutus on it's roster B is still preferable to the rather sterile A.

I was considering Rip Her to Shreds for my list. Good Blondie pick.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
