Both nicely varied, with interesting additions...

on the basis of the new additions going to go with A but only just as the lonelady track is one that I can come back to time and time again.
Strange Front Line Assembly pick though, more mellow than their usual visceral output.

B was looking stronger here in any case but the new three push it further over the winning line.

Sorry, Martha. But you did get some good comments.

Was it you who defended the Cat Stevens tune in the first round? Whoever it was, I agree. Very lovely song.

Damned shame, that was the best list in the competition.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Thanks! Loki it was Kath I think who defended Trouble. She loves the Cat as do I.

It's my own damn fault that I made a round 2 exit. Normally I agonize over my cup selections, but I didn't think I'd make it through to round 2 this year because surf rock, California punk, the Tear Garden and Isobe Masafumi aren't very BCB. So I didn't bother to really develop the rest of the list with anything else and then stuff happened in my family that needed all my free time.

When I realized I'd made it through I was already late (my match had ended days eariler) in submitting the next 3 tracks, so I just quickly cobbled off some BCB winners and sent them as I had a lot of stuff going on at home and didn't have time to analyze things and pick and choose as much as I usually do with this.

But then I stared at them...
A Joe Meek produced classic
a dark bit of Johnny Cash
and of course, my annual Nina Simone pick...

Thinking...hey that's boring and cliched....but it will probably work.

But it didn't FLOW well with what came before....So I deleted that message since Penk hadn't read it yet and I started my annual geeky agonizing over the cup list.

In the middle of that process my my sister called me and needed me to research lawyers online for her and was in tears over actually important things....

So I just sent the last three tracks I'd played that day instead. I knew I was fucked when I chose my final 3, but I had fun playing.
