I liked B's selections better than I thought I would. A still seems like the stronger list, all things considered, and seems a bit more graceful doing the eclectic thing.

Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I'm really not feeling either of these. I get the eclecticism of A but the quality control has gone awol. I have no idea what to make of the 3 additions. By contrast, B is pretty conservative stuff, but probably not as likely to be chucked from the stereo.

I'm a fan of eclecticism, as I've said here numerous times, but at a certain point it can be overdone to the point where it becomes pretty box-checky. I think A just passed that point.

Don't love B either, but at least some of the new ones make up for This Mortal Coil.

I missed several of the first round matches, being a bit slow on the uptake, so quite a lot of the lists are new to me.

I'm probably a B

It needs a deft touch to drop a classical piece into a cup list. A just seems ham-fisted. Perhaps a more modern rendition than Caruso would have helped. And B is keeping it's end up with the Dillards pick.

I think A has basically just thrown all his/her cautions to the wind, and is happily commiting Cupicide to go out with a smile. It's nice to see Afrirampo - always had a thing for girls with guitars.
B hasn't sold me totally yet, though there's still enough there I enjoy and the Dillards are always welcome 'round here.

Is a supposed to be eclectic? I guess it's always in the ear of the beholder or behearder or something: this is the one list where I knew most tracks pretty well.
I don't know, I'll totally reward Una furtiva Lagrima. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, I wouldn't have chosen Caruso necessarily...but still beautiful.
I wasn't that big if a fan of b in the first instance

So A for me

A is all over the place in terms of both style and quality; I enjoyed some of it and I like its kitchen-sink approach but too much of it turned me off as well. B is more solid and tasteful, if a tad conservative.

B has just shot themselves in the foot, as far as I can see by trying to make their list blander. Whilst A has Afrirampo.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

even if the last three are a bit awkward
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
