Well I'm not going to buck the trend. Maybe A isn't obscure in some circles, but it is in mine and definitely not my thing, with a distinct whiff of "how hip am I" about it.

I'm going to sound like my mum, but the tracks in A just all sound the same to me.....Really not even a few tiny steps up my alley.

B is a good list for me anyway, so it's a clear

A might be a bit of a theme list but I like most of it and that's more than I can say for B, a couple of whose selections I thought were absolutely terrible.

I'm no fan of A but I like it better than B.

Sorry A, I do try, but it's just not my thang....

some of the dancefloor stuff in B isn't either, but that Andrew Bird song slays me!

List A is somewhat out of my musical comfort zone, but I'm enjoying what I'm hearing. I like a lot of what's on list B, but I've never cared for that "Free Your Mind" song and that's kind of a weak B52's selection. Maybe it's just my mood tonight, but I'll go with A and tell list B sorry! sorry! sorry! sorry!

...and the prize for the most immediately identifiable list goes to A. Didn't deserve a mauling like that against a distinctly ropey opponent.

Yeah, B's pretty naff.

Toby sees his early exits from BCB Cups as a kind of victory for good taste.

To be honest I'd forgotten I needed to put a list together and then thought of 8 techno records I like.

I picked B over familiarity and the fact it's skewed more to my tastes, but I really enjoyed the more outre nature of your list, it would make a good compilation.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.
