I liked the Tear Garden and Isobe Masafumi (would that more would eschew the cool in favour of some genuine POP music) on the down side I've always found Pulp a bit meh and of all the singer songwriter tracks available that Cat Stevens track really looks second division at best.

I had vague misgivings about B's 60s picks. The Golliwogs is interesting but clearly not as good as countless CCR tracks and Frumious Bandersnatch I kind of liked although it sounded like some weird Doors/Quicksilver mix but not as good as either. The clincher for B was the Bobby Darin which I was pleasantly surprised by.

A close one but it's B

B
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

both veryyyy groovy indeed. it really is a toss-up for me.

i think I'm gonna go with A. moving thru dick dale and the chameleons and the tear garden and isobe masafumi... then to get surprised happily by that cat track. (unlike the fish, i think "trouble" is the best thing cat ever wrote.)

but apologies to B. some inspired off-field choices. and that arnold track bounces my ass about the premises.

i'd be happy for either list to move onward.

A. I'd elaborate on these but I feel like shit so just getting the votes in.

I liked both lists here, excepting a couple tracks. List A might be a little too rooted in the 80's, but I find it's the stronger list overall.

A on this match up.

Enjoyed the dick dale and massive attack against the bobby darin. Not sure I see the attraction of the Isobe Masafumi.

Agree that it was the wrong pogues choice.

It doesn't get more BCB-friendly than B... but I like it

Another 16-15 comeback win as A claimed eight of the last nine votes!

A 16-15 B

B was whodathunkit.

A, three new songs to me, please.

Yep, bad luck Bob. A list that didn't deserve a first-round exit.
