Just got back from a 4-week trip.
One morning we got up early and went to Blue Spring State Park, where there's a manatee refuge. I'd been there once before but at the wrong time of day, and didn't get to see any. This time, the weather was cooler and we got up early. Got lucky - that morning 125 had been counted, and a new one had just been born. They were sticking around in the lagoon, as it was too cold for them to go out to sea to eat.

Here's an underwater video. Manatees are very friendly animals, which sometimes gets them into trouble. Note the scratches and scars on their backs, likely from boat propellers.

been to blue springs many times. North central florida is one of the great secrets of the U.S. there are dozens of springs within a 100 mile radius of Gainseville. Each one is unique and all are beautiful. For anyone wanting to see a fantastic part of the USA make a trip down there.

Went to the head shop~
I have my husband on weed now - he's lost around a hundred pounds and I was desperate to stop that. It's working - he gained half a pound in a few weeks.
My sister got us some THC brownies. They went well with an old C&C interview in the latest [anniversary] issue of High Times~

My bro-in-law has a golf buddy who lives in Tavares, which is in a lakes district of central Florida. One Saturday he took us out on his boat - an 18-ft runabout; nothing fancy, but fun.
In between the cluster of lakes there are little channels / canals that feature ancient trees, wildlife, and little redneck cottages.

Apparently it's nothing for these people to have to shoo gators out of their yard. Jeez!

While we were out on one of the lakes, some dark clouds rolled in so we took refuge at a beautiful, historic lakeside resort....replete with swan paddleboats.

Yes. Cancer treatment killed his appetite. But I've got him on THC now and he's maintaining.

I guessed it must be something like that. Glad things are steadying.
