Any recommendations for good cheap hotels near Waterloo?

Postby Short Bald Bloke » 10 Aug 2012, 12:00

Sorry to trouble the LAQ with a noddy question about London. A colleague and I are in London in about a weeks time and staying over for a night. Does anyone know of any hotels near Waterloo that are decent? Work will pay but cannot be overly expensive.

Thanks.

Do those 2 words actually work out in a sentence? Good and cheap generally don't hang out together......
How would you like to be remembered? Oh I don't know. I suppose if we are remembered as a great little rock and roll band it would be fine.........

If you are a serving or ex non-officer member of the UK's armed forces you can stay at the Union Jack Club which is right next to Waterloo.

You can stay there if you have association with the police, fire brigade, merch navy as well. You can also stay if you were an officer of the non commissioned variety.

I've stayed at the southwark rose before. it may not be close enough for you... it's about a 30 minute walk along the south bank past the tate right by the globe. it's not cheap but it's not expensive (it should be within a company budget) good value and the room styles are quite funky...

Its a charidee so I have to be careful what is spent.

Thanks for the suggestions. Premier Inn or the Hilton are the cheapest so I will probably go with one of those.
