I thought you all might be interested in seeing this, especially the history and photography enthusiasts - of which I know we have a lot. I find this sort of thing absolutely fascinating.
One of our academics, Dr Yee-Wah Foo, has been heavily involved in this project cataloguing old photos of China. Her grandfather Fu Bingchang was the Chinese Ambassador to Moscow.

I was particularly interested to see the maritime photos, as my great uncle John Wood was out in China in the 30s as First Officer on a merchant navy vessel.
