I haven't read this thread but I got to the poll and see you have no Northern Ireland cities.

Now some of us may not want to be in the UK but the fact is we are. Why are Belfast and Derry not on the list?

Grrrr....

There's nowhere out of Wales either. I wouldn't want to speculate on the reasons for that.

I agree Belfast should have been there but I don't think many of us have been there. Have we?

Wales - yeah, if the poll had been extended to 20 cities. You have to draw the line somewhere. :P

This has been an interesting thread to read and might end up being helpful planning my trip.

Well we won't know now, since it's not on the bloody list.

Nottingham was amazing - I visited during a two day conference and came back in 6 months again. It has a statue of Robin Hood, and the oldest pub in England! The Uni is beautiful, as is the old town, seriously!

Here are some pictures I've taken over my last trip a few years ago!

I love Nottingham, it's one of those places most people have never visited and assume will be crap but there's a nice creative atmosphere to a lot of the centre, the uni area is great and great shopping.

I quite like the pub in the photo as well, although my main memory of it is not being able to go in one night because of overzealous bouncers asking Al for ID when she was 23.

G, you in?

I haven't been everywhere on the list (so it's a bit of a fool's errand voting, really), but my votes are for Edinburgh, Liverpool and Glasgow (in that order)

I went for Edinburgh, Leeds and Glasgow.

I think of Edinburgh as home. I'm a Yorkshire girl but my heart is there. I'm seriously considering moving back up there. I spent 11 years there and I feel more myself there than anywhere else.

I'd do it in a shot. People won't commit, of course - that's the problem.

Committing is hard, true, but I'm seriously considering coming out this year.

I've only been to Glasgow Liverpool and Leeds off the list! I will hopefully up that total when I am over in August!

Glasgow was absolutely superb though.
