40-49 --> 45
50-59 --> 24
I was born ten years early it seems.

36 but my earlier question was serious. If you woke up with no idea of your physical age, how old would you think you were? How old would others think you were? Do you think you'd act differently if you didn't have your age-tag anchor dragging on you?

there are different ways to take this.
(some of you) know how it feels when yer eyesight starts going out on ya? you get frustrated becuz the things you used to be able to focus on so easily, say, a food label, seem to've become so blurry relatively overnight that ya hafta get someone else to read it for you?
that's how frustrated i get when my brain won't function properly... when it won't call up memory files it used to call up in a flash. pisses me right the hell off.
however, there are those times daily when i get in my *me* zone, the expressive, idea-swappin zone when the age-crap disappears. it'll happen when i'm talking to the beezle about lit or one of her papers or politics. it'll happen when reap and i are word-riffin in a punnery contest. it'll happen when i'm back-n-forthing somewhere online with somebody who's managed to tickle my fancy and get my synapses firing. when i get in that zone, truly, it's as though years have melted away and i'm 20 again.
it's a cool thing, cuz when i'm there, i don't even feel the fact that physically, i'm pushin a hundred and forty fucquin seven.

A lot of people would think I was good bit younger than I was. But I think that's not so true now, in the last few years I've begun to put on the years a little bit I feel.
I feel in my mid thirties I guess; generally I often get on with people in their late twenties and thirties a bit more than I do my own generation.

I think I would feel pretty close to my age (36 for another month). I probably look a little younger than that, but for no good reason, just the way it's worked out so far. I have no idea how people perceive me. I'm probably a lot younger than a lot of my peers from school just because I haven't really settled down in the conventional family, rooted way.

I still get carded at clubs from time to time.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Other folks say otherwise but I just don't believe them -- I see the telltale signs on my skin and I feel in in my joints. Having a kid ages you. Or at least it did me.
From what I've seen of your photos, you look like you have beautiful skin. You don't look 40.

I'm forever being told (or asked if I'm) I look mid/late 20s. And apparently, the haircut has "taken years off me".
I expect to be ID'd shortly.

Here's what I find weird. Realizing that I've been communicating on these boards long enough that there are three of these age ranges that at some point or other I would have been.
Current answer is 46.
Since getting carded has been mentioned, I think the last time I was carded was a few short weeks before I would turn 42, in a bar in Nashville. Come to think of it, I got carded twice that year in Nashville. Once during the jolly up (so did Shagger Dave) and again when I was back in town to see Waits at the Ryman and gathering with some other Tom Waits fans in a bar.
Maybe I need to visit Nashville again.
