That when our white cat taps on our front window, that the female crazy next to us believes that I am tapping and pointing fingers at her. She needs glasses and more.

Drive through restaurants printing car number plates on the packaging sold to customers to prevent littering.

Romaine lettuce recalled nationwide due to E. coli bacteria outbreak. Federal health officials issued a nationwide alert Friday urging consumers to avoid romaine lettuce from California's Salinas Valley after a multistate outbreak of E. coli infections.

I might've had some on Friday on a sandwich. I rec'd something in my email about a recall and that I had purchased some but either it was a salad a week or so ago or the sandwich on Friday. I guess that "they" track this from "points" cards. :x

That Santa and Mrs. Claus are living in sin and were never legally married. Or at least that is the rumor.

There was this South African guy we knew back in the day we called Crazy Benny because he was crazy, often seen and heard muttering to himself, "Cunts. Cunts. They're all cunts." I had always thought it was a statement of sexual frustration, a dislike of women because he couldn't get laid. But having hung around here where "cunt" means the same to Brits - and S Africans - as "asshole" does to Americans I now realize Benny was pretty much angry at everyone not just women. :D

The government of the Navajo Nation was created so the U.S. govt. could buy oil from them. The U.S. wanted the oil but somehow due to laws couldn't do it otherwise.

My Dad used to take medicine for his heart condition. He always referred to it as "Rat Poison"

I was reading a Billy Connolly book today. He was chatting in it with Peter McDougal the playwright. As they reflected on getting older McDougal referred to a tablet he takes for his heart, Wafarin. Connolly replied that he remembered it being used to kill Rats in the shipyards.

I had always thought my Dad was joking and just being a bit daft calling it rat poison.

I've just learned that "Thanks For The Memories", a song I've known my whole life, is actually called "Thanks For The Memory".
