Looking at Nick Cave tickets for Leeds and it's £20 cheaper to get a seat than stand. Is that the norm?
I\d much rather sit these days.

Otter droppings look like the blobs of solidified oil you used to find on cobbled streets.

In addition to being an ancient Greek word, the brand name of the Odeon cinema chain is an acronym which stands for "Oscar Deutsch Entertains Our Nation"

Because of his size and scary looks and her crazy flipping her wrists .. they just yes them to death and document their threats against us as do the teachers at the daycare.

50% of the production budget for Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove was apparently eaten up by Peter Sellers' fee - three roles for the price of six as SK had it

Re:daylight savings time, it's common knowledge that Arizona doesn't participate but I learned on my trip that the Navajo Nation, which we stayed in one night does and then yesterday discovered that the Hopi Nation which resides within the Navajo Nation doesn't participate so the writer called it the doughnut hole of Arizona's time zone. :?

"The Star Spangled Banner" only became the US National Anthem on March 3, 1931.

The act of making countertfeit money in Victorian England was almost completely an act committed by men. The act of putting counterfeit money into circulation (known as 'uttering counterfeit money') was almost exclusively committed by women, because women of the time did the shopping and were viewed as more trustworthy (and less likely to be eyed suspiciously) by traders/shopkeepers etc.

The AK-47 and the Kalashnikov are the same thing.

It was a gun designed by a guy called Kalashnikov while recuperating from a wound during World War II.

In fact, AK, stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova, which, I think, means Kalashnikov's automatic (rifle). The 47 refers to the year it was first manufactured.
Bugger off.

Did you know the 13th Amendment (Section 1) to the US Constitution became law in December 1865 and reads thus :

"Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction".

And still exists in that exact form today?

And did you also know that Microsoft, Starbucks & IBM (amongst others) have used this amendment to provide resource for their companies?
No, nor did I.

I’ve learnt today that the refrain in the theme tune to ‘Banana Splits’ goes ‘making up a mess of fun’ and not, as I have believed for years, ‘Waking up with Mr. Spock’
