Chitra Ramaswamy is incapable of writing any Guardian article that brings anything other than immense displeasure.

Anyone with even remotely left politics on here has never arrived at a decision unless they've read it in a meme, on Google, on Wiki, or on a video.

Everyone in 'the clique' comes to their conclusions completely of their own accord- indeed they appear to be instant experts on everything without having read a single word on the subject. They just know and everyone else doesn't.

Wikipedia wrote:Sue Kerr Hicks (December 12, 1895 – June 17, 1980) was an American jurist who practiced law and served as a circuit court judge in the state of Tennessee. He is best known for his role as a co-instigator and prosecutor in the 1925 trial of John T. Scopes, a Dayton, Tennessee teacher accused of teaching the Theory of Evolution in violation of Tennessee state law. Hicks may have also been the inspiration for the Shel Silverstein song "A Boy Named Sue," which was popularized by country music performer Johnny Cash in 1969.

I had just been reading the entry on John Scopes and it mentioned that the prosecution team on his trial "included brothers Herbert Hicks and Sue K. Hicks" and I went huh?

I hadn't heard of her before, so I just looked up her Guardian articles.

Audrey Hepburn's working script for "Breakfast At Tiffany's" sold at auction last September for just under £630,000. Tiffany & Co were the buyers.

Glorious suburbia

A writer looks beyond its soulless reputation to argue that suburbia is where most of us come from; it’s the place we return to every night after work or where our parents still live; and it has spawned great literature
