Re: Who are you going to vote for?
I could never have voted Tory, even before Thatcher. I was a lifelong Labour voter, but after Bliar, I can never vote labour again. The hierarchy in the Labour party, must have known what a slimy, two faced and unscrupulous cunt Bliar was - but went with him as he was a vote catcher. Fuck them, never again.
It looks like the S.N.P. for me, despite Wee Eck being such a fanny.

Given how long they've been out of power and with the support of the Murdock press it's astonishing to see them imploding so soon.

Carol Vorderman is awful isn't she. I find watching her almost unbearable, it's cringe-commedy - she reminds me of David Brent.
Watching Question Time, and listening to Any Questions over the weekend felt like witnessing a sea change. I know it was only two specific audiences reactions, but both seemed to be very anti-Tory (there are other factors that suggest this too, the opinion polls, for instance). I'm now convinced that Labour will get in again, probably with a majority. I'll probably vote Labour, so I'd be OK with that. My one reservation is that if Brown gets in again, he will be impossible to remove, which is unfortunate, because he seems to me to be a pretty incompetent leader.

I'm not sure he's incompetent. Good behind the scenes but a bit boring maybe.
Seeing this picture of him recently reminded me of the Nixon/Kennedy debates

Brown looking old and knackered yet there is no way Cameron can capitalise on that like Kennedy did

I thought that too... While Ken Livingston still has a few fans because of his personality, you can't say the same about Adonis.
I think the crowd were pissed off with Vorderman they could see right through her schtik as one chap pointed out - she tries to be Mrs Independent and then spouts the tory line for the rest of the time.
You can't go on at length about how bad punch & Judy politics is and then aim a few swift kicks at Brown's nether regions, that's just daft.
When you compare the atmosphere before the '97 election with now, it is not in the least similar.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Re: Who are you going to vote for?
Brown's probably more disappointing than actually incompetent. There was a hope (on my part at least) that when Brown came to power we would see a return to a more principled politics and away from the New Labour policy of government by focus group, but it wasn't to be.

I just don't think I could ever vote conservative, I'd rather note vote, or vote green, but I'll stick with Labour I suspect.

General Election 2005: Hitchin and Harpenden
Party Candidate Votes % ±%
Conservative Peter Lilley 23,627 49.9 +2.6
Liberal Democrat Hannah Hedges 12,234 25.8 +7.8
Labour Paul Orrett 10,499 22.2 -10.3
UKIP John Saunders 828 1.7 +0.4
Independent Edward Rigby 199 0.4 +0.4
Majority 11,393 24.0
Turnout 47,387 70.5 +3.6
Conservative hold
On that basis Lib Dem with zero hope of my vote meaning anything.
Some for of proportional representation is what we require even if it means suffering a cunt like Griffin in parliament.
Although I would be keen on putting the threshold to gain a seat somewhere just above the 1-2% that the far right get in this country

I suppose I would too.... but watching that performance and having allegiances to the Tory Party makes her more of a turn-OFF.

Nah, sod that. I'd rather shag a leftie with a fanny like a wizards sleeve and breath like paintstripper then sleep with a Tory like Vorderman.
