Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
Going to jump right in with a "Hello" right here then
I have been hanging around learning, laughing and cringing for a little while now and thought I had better stop the stalking and join up - the next step was to make a post so here I am.
Great group of people you have on here and some wisdom to be shared around - though not from me - I have a terrible memory for names and producers initials but a great love of music and a broad open minded taste and have really enjoyed finding new music from recommendations here.
I was introduced to the site by Ms Jumper K and am a badge wearing supporter now (thanks Jumper). This evening after an ale am brave enough to make that first post and am all lubed up for my first time - not sure where I am going with this analogy but be gentle with me
Today I have been listening to the new UNKLE album, Roni Size, Vampire Weekend, Yeasayer and right at this moment Music for the Knee Plays by David Byrne.
I hope you don't mind me hovering in the background, I may even contribute something

Well, welcome! Any friend of Mrs JK... now if you'd been a pal of that man of hers, that would be a different thing altogether.
You won't get any musical discussion from me but that's probably for the best. But you are absolutely right about the people in here - they are the best.

Welcome. I never could get on with Music For The Knee Plays (although The Catherine Wheel may be one of my favourite-ever albums). With an eclectic selection like those above, I'n sure you'll fit right in here.
And Mrs Jumper K is lovely, so any friend of hers...

Yes I have come to it (Knee Plays) through my love for Catherine Wheel - I had never heard of it (my second listen tonight) but is not a patch on CW or My Life in the Bush... sometimes these things don't stay in print for a reason maybe.
Thanks for the warm welcome, may have to go and lie down now.

Hello.
I came here looking for Coan. He started a "loons" thread (not unlike the one on here somewhere) on the Fall Forum. I thought it amusing.
Then I forgot what I called myself when I got here so haven't logged on since!

You found Coan funny and then you forgot your own name. See the terrible power he wields? Run away while you still remember what it is to be human!

I think we'd all be well served to listen to Beebsy's advice on this.

Been lurking for a while and finally have taken the plunge, looking to renew an old friendship with Matt Wilson and Betty.
