New to this board but been around under Hightea for years.

I'm living in Northern Westchester these days slowly migrating north from Central Jersey and over 15 years in different parts of NYC.
NYC has been a staple in my life I've seen over 1000 concerts in NYC, Most of them since 2001 although my first concert was Nektar in 1977.
I like most music although not a big fan of hard/metal rock and rap without instruments.

Well I suppose there's a lot of discussion of prog rock and indy bands you might find interesting here, but I'd venture to say that there are certain other aspects of this board you might find vaguely unsettling.

ah the good old misinformed Hepcat. Once again Hepcat is out either looking for foxes and out to lunch. Hightea likes a lot more than indie and prog.

I certainly didn't say that you liked only prog and indie bands. This is still a pretty accurate list of your favourites though, is it not?

Gong, King Crimson, Tori Amos, Genesis, Nektar, Elbow, Stellastarr*, Strawbs, My Bloody Valentine, John Williams, Segovia, Wes Montgomery, Gentle Giant, Eno, Yes, Steve Hillage Band, Pink Floyd, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey, Bjork, Kate Bush, Jeff Buckley, Dead, J Airplane, IQ, Idlewild, super furry animals, LCD, Soundsystem, Interpol, Kenso, Iron & Wine, Mogwai, Zappa, Muse, Radiohead

^ yeah I listen to all that looks like a list from 2003 but even that is just a drop in the bucket. I've seen over 1000 bands since 2003 let alone own another 2000+ bands and 50,000 songs. Plus all the stuff I just listen to on spotify. Sure plenty I will not care about but actually looking around plenty here to reply to just don't always have the time! Bye the way good to see you here Hepcat just watch out for foxes.

The mangy mutt is so old and toothless now that he can't even get out of his own way. He just stumbles about from one dumpster to another.

Are you in the habit of lobbing nukes around indiscriminately, WOPR?

If so, you'll fit in just fine.

So, about the whole "Post Moderation" process.... Are there any doubts here about me being human (aside from those of my ex-wife), or is it something else?

Well! My message appeared right away.... I guess that answers the question (as far as the forum is concerned anyway, not for my ex-wife).

Hello,
I'm Dave, and I've decided to try this place out on the recommendation of Rayge, after another forum we used died a slow agonising death. Some of you may know me from there, imdb, or rateyourmusic. Some won't.

Just thought that I'd pop in and say hi.
