I love my council estate
I've led a peripatetic life, having moved some twenty-odd times. I have lived OUT OF a trunk, in and out of hostels, and at home at various points in my life. It was not before 2009 that I got a home of my own, my wonderful (and cheap) space age bachelor pad. It's located on a quiet council estate in a sleepy town. The council estate is almost free of graffiti, and there are very few skirmishes among tenants. We have activities, for those who like that sort of thing, and a gym that I never visit. I have got a nice, spacious living room, a kitchen area, an enclosed balcony, and a bedroom for the archives. I sleep in the living room, and have become a real homebody, surrounded by my wonderful things. I am not going anywhere. This is it. This is where I want to spend the rest of my life. I hope to die here.

Well that's nice. There's something to be said for finding such contentment!

You lived IN a trunk?
As opposed to out of a trunk?
Now THIS I want to hear! You slept in it etc?

Can't say that about many things that have gone down in my life, but yes, here is one instance where I can say, without reservation, that I was lucky.

Well, living out of a trunk sounds slightly more upmarket than living IN one but I was pretty excited to hear about it!

Well, thanks for the correction, anyway. I love the English language and I am a lifelong student.

Re: I love my council estate
So I grew up in a crazy world of dressing rooms
And hotel rooms and waiting rooms
And rows behind-the-scenes
And I can't forget the endless rows
Of sleepless nights and heatless nights
And nights without a nickel in my jeans
But it's all in the game and way you play it
And you've gotta play the game you know
When you're born in a trunk at the Princess Theater
In Pocatello, Idaho
And hotel rooms and waiting rooms
And rows behind-the-scenes
And I can't forget the endless rows
Of sleepless nights and heatless nights
And nights without a nickel in my jeans
But it's all in the game and way you play it
And you've gotta play the game you know
When you're born in a trunk at the Princess Theater

I've checked my notebook and have discovered that I own "Zenyatta Mondatta" already, the A&M remaster. But I don't care, I'm keeping both editions.

"Zenyatta Mondatta" is their best one. Contains the first track I ever heard by them, "De Do Do Do, De Dah Dah Dah".
