My day was made yesterday when during a visit to State Park, an armadillo walked right up to me. Hopefully, that's a sign of great luck!

I haven’t seen an armadillo in a very long time. When I was a kid it wasn’t unusual to see them on the side of the road, a victim of the auto age but I used to come across them in the woods as you did. I think they have pretty poor eyesight so easy enough to surprise them. Such interesting looking creatures.
