Yes, there was a nice piece on BBC Radio 4's Today programme yesterday.

Seems like a nice bloke

Apparently that was the way the pilots described it when it was offered to them because they had sent a monkey up first because there was no “ flying” of the capsule. This was a road too far for some test pilots and they teased the ones signing up to be an astronaut.
This is not the year to think about what we don’t have.
It is the year we should be grateful for what we do have.
