Anyone watching the debate tonight?

Postby Minnie the Minx » 29 Sep 2020, 14:36

I can’t not watch it, but nor can I watch it. I mean, I can watch it from behind fingers clamped over my face tighter than Alien and under a mountain of duvets peeking out occasionally.

But we have to watch don’t we? Or do we?

After Clinton v Trump, I remember saying ‘he’s fucking finished’ and look what happened.

This might be the time for that recreational heroin!

I try to give that orange cunt as little airtime as possible in my life, so I'm going to take a pass and watch the "highlights" tomorrow.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

Yes, although I am usually like John and not give him any of my time. Just listening to him spout his b.s. raises my anger which isn’t good so I prefer to read the highlights but I get the feeling he is going to be uncomfortable tonight and I want to see him struggle.

I understand all the reasons for not wanting to watch. Preservation of one's own mind being top of the list, but still. I'm going in there.
I read somewhere that Biden should start by counting out $750 and handing it to Trump saying "next year's on me." Childish but fantastic!
Talking of childish, dad of Baron said that he put Biden signs out on in his garden in San Antonio and a couple of days later found them upturned in his compost. "It goes both ways, though," he said sagely which is true, and I can't even begin to count the amount of signs we defaced with spray paint, dog shit and badly drawn penii when I was younger. In fact, one of my Dad's pals on the way back from the pub one night, noticing a "Vote Tory" sign he didn't like on our street, jumped up on the car and had a nice big shit, so we are certainly no angels.

i think trump's gonna be in big time trouble, i do. this is not the same trump from four years ago. and i think all the people close to him already know how it's gonna go. the fox news jerks and his other minions are already out beforehand trying to trash biden as...

~~senile and dementia-laden
~~a mastermind of deceit, memorizing the answers ahead of time
~~on performance-enhancing drugs (like there is one for the dementia he allegedly has)
~~refusing to get checked for wearing an earpiece to feed him answers
~~refusing a drug test

... it's batshit insane. they are already trying to cover for trump ahead of time, cuz they know what's coming. my take.

all biden really has to do is stand there and be sane and understandable.

i saw trump's last town hall. in front of a regular crowd. and he was almost incomprehensible.

i could be wrong. none of it might matter anyway. but i will be watching, mwhaha.

p.s. i will especially be watching pence-harris next week. she's gonna spackle the floor with his ass.

I will try to watch it all but its very hard to listen to Trump for more than a few minutes without throwing the TV out the window.
While I would like to say that Biden has this election, I will not! Trump and his republicans have no ethics and have taught that to their republican voters. They lie to pollsters on how they are going to vote, very fearful of them throwing 100's of votes away.

This also goes for Trumps tax attorneys. It's funny I work in pension and actually am certified by the IRS to represent my client on audit. One of the rules I must follow is the Circular 230:
after reading about Trump's taxes I don't see how his CPA's are following circular 230 rules.

"31 U.S.C. §330. Practice before the Department
(a) Subject to section 500 of title 5, the Secretary of the Treasury may —
(1) regulate the practice of representatives of persons before the Department of the Treasury; and
(2) before admitting a representative to practice, require that the representative demonstrate —
(A) good character;
(B) good reputation;
(C) necessary qualifications to enable the representative to provide to persons valuable service; and
(D) competency to advise and assist persons in presenting their cases.
(b) After notice and opportunity for a proceeding, the Secretary may suspend or disbar from practice before the

Department, or censure, a representative who —
(1) is incompetent;
(2) is disreputable;
(3) violates regulations prescribed under this section; or
(4) with intent to defraud, willfully and knowingly misleads or threatens the person being represented or a
prospective person to be represented.
"

I actually got rid of a case recently because I felt their books we misleading and the client refused to follow our advise to correct it. Because of circular 230 we decided it was best to part ways as I didn't want to lose my designation of it.

I'm only watching it because my girlfriend insists on watching. Trump's not letting Biden get in a word edgewise. Hope Biden keeps his cool.
