We made the wise choice to watch "Rope" last night instead of the Blue Jays. Not my favorite Hitchcock movie but I've never seen it before last night.

YAY! The Toronto Blue Jays are in the playoffs.

SIMMONS: Somehow, some way, these improbable Blue Jays heading back to post-season

Round one done. My predictions for the rest:

A's over Astros
Rays over Yankees
Dodgers over Padres
Braves over Marlins

Rays over A's
Dodgers over Braves

Dodgers over Rays

Although in this crazy year lord knows it can go any which way.

I agree with your round one picks. I still forget that the Astros are now in the American League. :)

I would like to see the A's win the series this year.

P.S. I'm still upset about the Blue Jay's poor playoff performance, not a fan of Charlie Montoyo's pitching strategy.

I was glad to catch some of the Padres/Cards series, here's hoping San Diego can keep it up.

Los Angeles Dodgers are headed to the World Series to face off with the Tampa Bay Rays

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/19/us/mlb-w ... index.html

(CNN)The Los Angeles Dodgers are headed to the World Series.

The Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 in a pivotal Game 7 of the National League Championship series Sunday.

The team will now go head-to-head with the Tampa Bay Rays when the World Series starts Tuesday in in Arlington, Texas, at the newly-opened Globe Life Field.

This is the 20th World Series appearance in the storied history of the Dodgers franchise. The Dodgers will now have represented the National League in the World Series in three of the last four years. The Dodgers have won the World Series six times, with the last championship coming in 1988.

This is Tampa Bay's second World Series appearance in franchise history, with the other coming in 2008.

The Rays defeated the Houston Astros 4-2 in Game 7 Saturday night in San Diego's Petco Park.

Five out of six - not bad!

Sure hoping I get the last one right. It'll be a tough series, but on paper, at least, the Dodgers are the better team.

As for that team from Houston (with no offense to my Texan friends) I'm glad they're gone. They were pretty hot, so if we actually lost to them again it would have really sucked.

I think that might have been the perfect scenario - they did well enough to remind people that they're a great team that didn't have to cheat, but they didn't do so well that the accusations started up all over again. There was already enough weirdness for one season (not that I'm sure it's over).

Well after this wild season we got the two best teams in baseball. Glad its not Houston was worried with that crazy last run.
I'll be pulling for Tampa Bay but expect the Dodgers which is fine they are always the Brooklyn BUMS to me. Mom was a fan.

As for the Yankees no clue what they should do they have a great lineup but its flaws show. Their pitching hopefully stays healthy.

That was quite remarkable. Can you do this again next year and I'll get a couple of bets on.
Bugger off.
