75th VE Day - any other BCBers going to mark this?

Postby Sam Stone » 08 May 2020, 09:04

I'll do the two-minute silence thing at 11 am - I think it's the least I can do to pay my respects to those who secured us the freedom to shout down other posters who we cannot abide (me!) or whose views we may not share.

Will sadly probably the last of the big anniversaries at which any of the original protagonists will be around for. Odd to think that until a few years ago there were still some soldiers and civilians from the "War to End All Wars" between 1914 and 1918.

Sam Stone, I agree with your post. I didn't realize that today was 75 years since VE day. I'll gladly respect the moment of silence. Thanks for the reminder.

Of course.
