Loki RIP
I'm sorry to bring some truly terrible news but Sloop on the other board has reported that Stephanie passed away in January. I believe he found out through Facebook but I have no further details.
Stephanie was such a kind and warm poster and person. This is so sad.

Re: Loki RIP
One of my favorite people here. I noticed that she dropped out of here rather abruptly and, you know... I hoped for the best, while fearing the worst. The worst won, this time.
Sending love to wherever your spirit may be, Steph.

Re: Loki RIP
I am absolutely stunned.
Such a wonderfully lovely person. Made the Cups a whole lot of fun to do.
Rest easy Steph. Things were never easy for you but you made it work.

Good grief. That is so, so sad. A lovely lady, with a great sense of humour, who happened to love her American football too (I believe that may have been our very first discussion).

Wow, I too was afraid this might be the reason she disappeared so quickly. She was truly a warm and friendly person on line and no doubt in real life too. RIP sweet lady.

Very sad to hear this. We exchanged a few PMs over her love of Scotland.

Re: Loki RIP
Extremely sad news. I think that Steph was Canadian but that she mentioned visiting or going to live with her sister in the States. I hope that her passage was peaceful and she was surrounded by her loved ones. May she rest in peace.

A very lovely and loving person.
Thanks G for letting us know.

It looks like her sister has passed away as well...on Steph's birthday too.

Such sad news. Steph was always warm, caring and fun. Even in the midst of rampant BCB shenanigans , she was a calm and upbeat presence. She’ll be missed by lots of people.

Re: Loki RIP
Not claiming any special knowledge, but Steph and I have been online friends for 15 years or so, starting on the imdb music boards and then on The Refuge, as well as her being responsible for my joining BCB. She was a great help when Chip died.
I suspect she may have had cancer. She survived four (I think) previous bouts of it, as well as a car crash in her teens that killed her passenger. Her husband, Ken's, death from brain cancer shattered her financially as well as emotionally, and as far as I new, she spent her last few years living with her sister Emily (the one who died on Steph's birthday). Steph had no children of her own, but she doted on her niece, Opal, Emily's daughter, and often posted pictures of her.
She had a hard and fairly wild life: I'm so sorry to hear she left it so young.
RIP Stephanie

Re: Loki RIP
This is incredibly sad news, deeply tragic to have a life cut short like that. Loki, as I will remember her, had so much to give and she was among the first here to send me a welcoming PM, just a very kind and loving person. She flew the Canadian colors and was rightly proud of her musical heritage, while still having a special affection for American music, and she always had an international outlook as well. RIP
