Is this what you think passes for humour, Flower ??

I'll pass that along to my brother and nephew who are both doctors in London.

Please think before you post mocking images referring to Covid-19 and specifically in this case about PPE. I know you haven't got me on Ignore. Thank you in advance.

Please read this - https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/mar/26/coronavirus-hospital-operator-forced-to-stop-some-surgeries-amid-shortage-of-personal-protective-equipment

Also, please read this - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-52022350

London coronavirus doctor pleads for return of stolen bike.

An intensive care doctor dealing with the coronavirus outbreak in London has pleaded to have her stolen bike returned.

Laura Pujol and her husband Francesc Torres, 34, are both doctors and cycle to their separate hospitals to work.

Dr Pujol discovered on Tuesday morning the bike had been stolen overnight.

She said she and her husband had been working 12 or 13-hour days as the NHS copes with the number of people needing hospital care for coronavirus.

She said she had reported the theft to the Met Police.

The couple have a 21-month-old daughter who is still able to go to nursery as Dr Pujol and Dr Torres are key workers.

But Dr Pujol needs the bike to drop off her daughter and then get to work.

"I am lucky that I can still walk to work, but it means that I cannot drop my daughter off at nursery - and we are really lucky that the nursery is staying open for key workers."

Public transport in London has been hugely restricted as the capital tries to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Dr Pujol said she felt like shouting when she saw pictures of people crowding on to Tube trains, because of the risk to their health.

"Going to work by bike is really the only time during the day that we get some fresh air and even time to have our thoughts to ourselves.

"So when we realised that our bike was not there it is just such a pity in this situation right now," she said.

I think there are a number of issues Samoan.

Firstly, I stumbled on this image and despite not liking cats it made me laugh out loud.

I did not make a direct connection with covid-19 probably because of my own health circumstances over the last three years because I have learnt to separate out humour from reality.

I don't wish to engage in an on-going discussion with you but my two cancers, 29 chemotherapy sessions, 25 radiotherapy sessions and a three week intensive care unit stint with a stem cell transplant has taught me to laugh when you can laugh and appreciate the smaller things in life.

My myloema has left me with umpteen broken bones and the necessity to walk with a stick. That still doesn't mean when Mrs C makes a witty remark like 'hurry up and get that stick into action" that I am not going to smile or joke back.

I think sometimes folk can't separate the two things out - Lenny Bruce got it right if you know his work.

I think sometimes some folk take things too seriously including themselves.

On another personal note I have 6 doctors in my family and my cancer consultant died of covid-19 last week so I get it. Dr Shafi was a great man - so caring. But his death, for whatever reasons, is not going to stop me laughing at smutty Carry on Doctor jokes!

Stay well. Stay safe

C! I do rescue work, work with rescues, socialize ferals, help people locate stray/lost cats .. cats give me peace and joy (some heartache with rescue work) but it's what is correct for me. I come from a long line of cat lovers and compassionate people. One of my (second) cousin's was an original Freedom Rider. volunteered with the Peace Corps, convinced "Save the Children" to go organic .. etc.

When my father was seven, his grandmother died, she was buried that morning but after the funeral when they got home, his father (my grandfather) had a stroke and died. Then my grandmother had to go in for a gall bladder operation .. etc. My dad's little gray kitten slept on his pillow and would hiss and growl if anyone came near my dad. This made my dad's life worth living as a scared seven year old.

I make no excuses. Cats are important to me. They bring me love, joy and peace of soul. I need no excuses, nor do I make any.

Whatever turns you on Susan!

It's not harming anybody

I respect animals but I dislike pets.

Horses for courses and all that

Live and let live I say

I'll just say one thing about cats. I live alone and especially at times like this, it can get pretty, well, lonesome. I love my Phoebe's company in those times, whether she is bitching at me for whatever reason (she's hungry), playfully toying around with whatever piece of paper I dropped accidentally, sleeping anytime anywhere, warmth when she wants.... When I'm not feeling so hot, she feels it and acts more warmly. I'd be a lot worse off without her around.

Absolutely!

My friend, keep safe, keep well and if you live in England (as opposed to the UK) keep alert!
