I didn’t wash the spinach properly as usual, so it was actually spinach and soil on toast.

Great for sandwiches!

I'm back on my routine of cereal/milk/fresh fruit (strawberries) after 26 days of mostly eggs/bacon/potatoes/toast. The big fatty breakfast was helpful for the road but I couldn't do it on a regular basis at home.

Fried in a tsp of vegetable oil half an onion, one chopped up tomato and two scrambled eggs. (Will hold off on toast since I ate a bowl of granola and a slice of rye peanut butter toast at 2am. )

Looking for a low fat omelet (never can spell that word!) filling, i.e., not cheese, so I pulled from the canned goods drawer a can of what I thought was corn and it turned out to be shmooshed corn paste. (It's all in Japanese and I've only been here 30 years. Gimme a break.) So I made a flat scrambled tortilla thing (Pam) and rolled up in it a couple of tablespoons of the tasteless goop. Looked okay and tasted meh. A slice of rye toast, the last slice in the bag, onto which I loaded a big dollop of high calorie, sugary i.e., poison, Ikea orange marmalade. I drank iced, day-old coffee. 2 Advils.

The Ukrainian way with salt and a bit of pepper. It seems, or at least in my experience, that the Ukrainians such as my family use salt and pepper while the Poles and Germans use sugar or maple syrup. I even know people who use apple sauce. I stick with the salt and pepper.
