I know no one will remember this, but when the MOJO board mounted a full scale invasion of a Duran Duran message board one side effect, amongst all the carnage, was a marriage!

Sorry, harv, I'm taken.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

So let me get this straight, because I haven't been around that much lately: Coan started another board and half the people here jumped ship and now neither board has the critical mass of users to have lively discussions, is that what's going on?

Sort of. More things get talked about there. Not quite as in-bred as here right now. but nobody really wants to fight with skope so he has to start fights over here.
can you prove it didn't happen?

Thanks.

I'm not following this closely enough to know exactly what you're talking about, but it sounds tiresome. Are these fights engaging in any way?

I just want to come somewhere and mouth off and have banter.

Works for me! I think most of the active users there are still active here. I think it’s pretty easy to avoid the in fighting & stuff. Still, It just seems like a fact of life that a lot of people enjoy all that stuff.

I have to say that I kind of resent the idea of dividing my attention between (mostly) the same people on two different platforms.

Whatever, I guess.

Shame really, he obviously has all sorts of inadequacies but what is the guy’s biggest challenge?

(Not so I can laugh and point, rather so I can try to empathise in some small way.)

Doesn't having a chopped beef limp penis as an avatar say it all?

Both boards are a bit slow, traffic-wise. I do participate much more on Preludin now than I do on BCB - the music discussion over there skews more towards the things I like, compared to what Yakety Yak is like now (I'd actually say that Preludin's music section reminds me of Yakety Yak in the mid-2000s).

I think that's a fair summary. It's also friendlier and more humorous. You don't spend half the time fending off angry people.
