Yup
...but let it be someone who knows how to handle uptight and unpleasant shit-stirrers.

Someone who knows what to do when the board needs upgrades would be handy too.

Actually I have a mate who might be interested. He used to be a senior IT administrator and is very good with IT issues. As a bonus he's got some great taste in 60s music too. He's out in Valencia at the moment and has got a bit of spare time. I could see if he'd be interested..?

I thought you were talking about Skope then, but I read it again and saw the "He's got some great taste in 60's music" so -somewhat luckily- that rules him out.

If Jethro is planning on shutting down BCB I hope he gives advance notice.

We'll work something out because FB isn't exactly the same.

And will that 'HEN' person please stop spewing nonsense?

Have I driven everybody off the board? It's been like a dying upstate New York town for months, years maybe. If it's me I'm sorry but there are loads of other threads to reply to or, if you dare, start.

I also think it is time to retract the boards, combine them all, music, movies, computer repair, the works. That's how it was in the beginning and it worked. Now it doesn't. It was much livelier then and any topic was okay, including one of my first about french toast. So administrators, if you haven't all fucked off, consider my proposal.

this is the crux of it and straight from a doyen's mouth.

as jethro said on facebook, the board's subscription will not be renewed when it expires later this year. it's like the creeping death. if only the board could be put to the sword with at least some dignity intact. instead it will go out on a whmper. so sad, it really is.

Sorry to crush your ego (Kidding) but I doubt if you've driven anyone off.

"It takes a village" for almost any community to work. There will always be the "elders" and the village idiots.

One solution might be to find out how much it costs to run this forum and to tender the subscription to interested posters, if there are any interested. It would take work to clear things up a bit but spreading the word to friends, co-workers, family, etc. could bring new blood and life into BCB.

I’m sure if there are any signs of a proper revival with new blood coming in that the usual head fucked crew would dig up a few usernames and make it an unpleasant environment once more.

And the Chief Cunt says “it’s so sad, it really is”.

You couldn’t make it up.

i have no desire to run this or any forum but it's possible to both interest people to join as well as controlling aliases and trolls.

I don't know if anyone wants the chance to try to make this happen or not.

What is annoying is when people complain about no interesting threads, trolls or whatever and do nothing positive ... too many people complain and point fingers. Either do something positive or fade away.
