Same.

My eight year-old likes them (with ketchup yet), but I don't see the appeal.

I've had a few at the CNE in Toronto and they were good. I don't know about a steady diet of them but I'm under the impression that they are best eaten at county fairs and places like that on rare occasions.

Japanese call them American dogs and sell them at festivals and movie theaters. The batter is thick and served with ketchup. Where the corn went I don't know.

I’d be fucking STOKED to have a corn dog, or even a corny dog, any day of the week.

And yet, I can’t remember the last time I had one.

I'm exactly the same.

What's the difference between a 'corn dog' and a 'corny dog'?

I mean, if it’s advertised as a corny dog, I think you don’t want to pass it up.

No one wants to buy a corn dog from an intellectual.

I've never heard of them referred to as 'corny dogs', but I'll keep my eyes peeled and if I see some I'll play a little game of carny vs chef.

I ate them when I was a child but I don't think I've eaten one since I flew away from the parental nest. A kid will rarely turn away a hot dog wrapped in breading on a stick.

Are there any Brits on here who enjoy them?

Or Grits?

I really don’t get on with either. :|

Fucking Japanese always put ketchup on their dogs. I see more and more, however, these cleverly designed plastic individual ketchup/mustard packets where half is ketchup and half is mustard. You pinch the two halves together and a red and yellow goo dribbles out the middle easily spread on your dog.
