It's probably 10 but I'll say 9 to be safe (which is actually a contradiction but you know what I mean)

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?

Pretty much everything, I think. When I eat at the table, that is.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

I don;t generally eat breakfast

Do you like beetles?

Do I fuck.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

lol...absolutely no idea.

In general, a 7 or 8. The crisper drawer, however, a 2 (unopened bag of now brown lettuce, mushy cucumber, etc.)

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?
Don't chew with your mouth open.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?
Bowl of Wheaties with milk. Can be improved by going out for eggs, bacon, toast, etc.

Do you like beetles?
Love the Fabs but I don't like the Japanese beetles that eat our cherry trees.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?
Possibly never but I did just now.

8. The top shelf where all the small jars of things are kept doesn’t get wiped down as frequently as the others, but it’s pretty clean.

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?

All of them, although I will now occasionally put my elbows on the table if I’m eating at home by myself.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

Two eggs, fried. One piece of whole grain toast, buttered. Cup of coffee with milk. Dollop of chili garlic sauce on eggs. It could’ve been improved by having been about fifteen minutes longer. I always have to rush a bit in the morning. Another cup of coffee would’ve been nice too, but that’s what weekends are for.

Do you like beetles?

Not actively. Some are cool, some are destructive and some are annoying. I like the cool ones I suppose.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

Five weeks, nine days, thirty seven hours and ninety one minutes ago I said: “look at the fuckin’ cuticles on that one!” while checking out girls at the club with my crew.

Perhaps an 8, if I am kind to myself, but really I am more concerned with defrosting my freezer.

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?
Elbow(s) on table is necessary since I did my neck in, have to support my forehead with my hand, poor me. Other than that, I don't chew with my mouth open.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?
Toasted rosemary bread with butter, yoghurt, milk tea. Could have been improved with ice cold Pepsi-Cola.

Do you like beetles?
I don't like any insects. The car is okay.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?
Possibly never.

9 or 9 1/2

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?

All

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

Melon .. it could be improved with brie and fresh croissant but I'm too lazy to go the store right now.

Do you like beetles?

I like most bugs. Right now we are hosting an amazing neon orange caterpillar named Izzy in our front garden that should cocoon before emerging as a Tiger Moth. We have a few Ladybugs, we've had more until Harvey the Praying Mantis ate quite a few. Praying Mantis eat both good and bad bugs. Back to your question .. I don't see any beetles but there are good and bad ones too.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

I don't use seven letter words if I can help it.

I'll give it an 8. The shelves inside the door could do with a bit of a wash.

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?
Probably all.
My parents never had a thing about elbows on tables, that never bothered them - I don't recall it ever being mentioned as a good or bad thing but they were particular about everything else.
How else do you lean forward for a good old yak.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

3 slices of toast and Marmite and tea. I should have some protein, whip up some eggs but I have no interest in standing over a hot stove since Thursday's delightfully high temperatures. #neveragain

Do you like beetles?
Ladybirds and Stag Beetles, yes. Vine Weevils and Lily Beetles, no.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

Can't recall, perhaps never but I developed a tricky, very hard to heal (took 3 courses of antibiotics) Paronychia on my right thumb two summers ago and the GP might have used the word. Made me marvel at the miracle of the opposable thumb of the dominant hand.

The refrigerator in our house is beyond my command. It's not for me to rate its cleanliness.

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?

Depends on the situation. In all situations I chew silently and with my mouth closed.

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

I had two breakfast tacos: bacon, egg, and cheese. It could have been improved had the tortillas been freshly made, bacon chopped up and cooked with the eggs, and had the cheese been melted. The salsa was good.

Do you like beetles?

I suspect I like them more than some and less than my wife.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

Probably the last time I ripped one off and was moaning to my wife about the pain it caused.

Above salad drawer, about a 7. In the salad drawers - well. Those radishes are well past crunchy, lets say.

What aspect of table manners has remained with you since childhood?

None! :|

What did you have for breakfast and how could it have been improved?

A friend just came back from the UK armed with crumpets for me and we had those. We had frozen them, and I suspect they are always better if you don't freeze them first, but they were pretty great anyway.

Do you like beetles?

Of course! Amazing things.

When was the last time you said the word ‘cuticle’?

I had my nails painted before a recent holiday and my husband commented that my nails didn't grow very fast. I said "yes they do, look how far the varnish is from the cuticle."

Funny how when I was a kid there was this type of beetle which infested Dad's roses we called Japanese beetles. I get to Japan and they're beetle crazy here. Kids keep them as pets. There are so many varieties of beetles. The Kabuto Mushi is a popular keeper. Huge. They are found climbing up the trunks of trees in the woods and plucked up as easily as anything. Put them in a cage and feed them jelly and you have a pal for the summer.
