he died a few weeks ago. while napping, he had an aneurism, a massive brain bleed, that destroyed his major brain function and led to heart failure. he was 49.

i can't do justice to him right now. my regular internet/phone line has been cut off. i have this cell, from chi chi's acct in nola. i can access this board but not facebook, where i have friends who know him, hung out with him, etc. i can't do justice to him typing on my damn phone. i'll get there.

two things:

1. he was a passionate believer in organ donation. he has restored sight to two ppl and helped roughly 75 others. it matters. it mattered to him.

2. yeah, biased i am, but there was/is no better man on earth. he spent the last 20 years loving me, supporting me, making me laugh even in the darkest of times. he saved me, more times than i can name. he will forever save me.

toast him. crank some zep and share the gweetarry love. it just doesn't get better than reap.

love to all

Good grief....Kath - that's such tragic news.

Nothing I say will make these times any more bearable for you but.... hey I'll just say that from all my dealings with him, he was a kind, knowledgeable, funny & articulate guy, that I wish I could have met. You two were such a sweet couple.... I'm at a loss for words in all honesty.

As I said - I know this will probably wash completely over you but if you fancy a chat/rant/cry.... contact me on here (or FB if you get that back up and running) and fire away. If there's anything we collectively can do here - don't be afraid to ask either.

I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying I can't imagine how you're coping and dealing with Reap's passing. You're a much loved member of this community and my sincerest condolences go to you at this desperately difficult time. Reap will be sorely missed on here and I'm sure even more so by everyone who knew him 'in real life'. I'm shocked to the core.

I will play some Zep very loud later and I'd hope everyone will join in and celebrate his life likewise.
People go on too much about the privileged background of politicians but actually Matt Hancock had a very humble upbringing in an Italian workshop owned by a woodworker named Geppetto who turned him into a human boy.

Hugs kath.

Still trying to get to grips with this. I felt I knew you both through the little washes of communication here and there.
Take care, hope you will be comforted by all your good friends around you.

All the best.

Really sorry to hear such awful news. Hope you're doing as well as can be, in the circumstances. Take care of yourself.

I am deeply, deeply shocked to hear this. I loved every one of the PSLs that we shared and I wish I could have known Reap in person.

I don’t know how you will bear this, but I know that you will and will do so in ways that only you can.

All love to you, kath. We are here for you.
