Gimme some Music or Sport questions

Postby Lord Rother » 21 Apr 2019, 10:34

Convoluted, hard, quick and easy, interesting, fascinating etc. etc.

Doesn’t matter whether you think they are common knowledge, just something to exercise the grey cells for a few moments (or more) over a few beers.

E.g. Who is the only player born before 1960 to have scored a hat trick in the Premier League?

Who played piano on He Ain’t Heavy and Delilah?

What is the connection between Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, the Valentinos, and Willie Dixon?

I think this is Gordon Strachan.

I'm guessing Elton John (think I remember this from a question on here previously).

You usually choose your words well so do I need to open my mind to figure out what the heck you are asking?

Or would it benefit from a little rephrasing?

An easy one: who was the last ball player to hit .400 in a regular season?

It's a bi of a trick question.... but it's correct as you read it!

I’m struggling with that.... rugby league or cricket seems likely but I can’t figure the significance of current / present, if indeed there is one.

Anyway, here’s one I was asked a few weeks ago.

I’ve played with:

Beckham
Giggs
Ashley Young
Patrick Vieira
Sol Campbell
Aaron Ramsey
Michael Owen
Gerrard
Mo Salah

Who am I?

I must confess I googled this in desperation and if anyone claims to get it (without doing the same) they are lying!

Great question.

Both followed 'Bohemian Rhapsody' to UK Number One spot. (1976 and 1992).
