Gummed up internet?

Postby Jimbo » 21 Mar 2019, 04:30

Does visiting certain sites slow down or stop your internet usage. In my case I get the spinning disc and stoppage when visiting major news sites or other sites which have a video on top and then a pop-up video on the side. Maybe it's my old Mac computer's fault but most other, less busy sites work okay. But CNN, CBS, NBC, BBC are nearly unwatchable on my machine. How about yours? What slows down your internet?
Question authority.

Sometimes I wonder ...

But seriously, is it just me - again? Those sites which have a video at the top and then when I just want to just read the text I scroll down they shove that same video onto the side of the screen. Then I have to X it out and sometimes the X thing doesn't work. And then my computer freezes. Anyone else?

My monitor keeps getting all static-y like an old TV and then some weird woman tells me to go into the light. One of these days I just may.
