It's a lovely hot day here.

I'll be having a cocktail in about an hour from now. I'm going to make a Martinez...

2 ounces London Dry Gin
1 ounces sweet vermouth
¼ ounces maraschino liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitters

Combine gin, vermouth, maraschino liqueur, and bitters in a mixing glass. Add 4–5 ice cubes, and stir for about 30 seconds.
Strain into a chilled coupe cocktail glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.

It's too chilly to sit outside here, which sucks. I wish it would warm up!

No! It'll be my first time trying one. If I like it perhaps I'll have a pint of it some other time. I will have a beer or two afterwards, though, if that helps fill the quota.

Well, it was delicious, but to be honest it tasted quite a bit like a Manhattan so I'm not sure that this giant bottle of Luxardo Maraschino liqueur was a necessary purchase...

On to the beers!

I've destroyed a bottle of wine. Well actually to halves. Half a white before and during dinner prep and almost half a bottle of red with dinner. Then I took a walk in the park so now it's on to something else I think.
