A thread for good news stories

Postby caramba » 06 Jan 2019, 12:53

This week we've had David Cameron getting locked out of the commons - three years late, but better than nothing.

And today comes the wonderful news that Noel Edmonds feels unappeciated in the UK and is fucking off to New Zealand

I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

I like him.

But then it’s his radio days that stick in my mind.

I used to like him when I was a kid - I watched Swap Shop - the 'cool' kids apparently watched Tiswas, but I reckon anyone with an ounce of brain flicked between the two. For every Sally James interview with Blue Oyster Cult there was about three hours of cheap and tired cartoonage on Tiswas. Anyway, since those days Nolly has become a tiresome, thin-skinned, Partridgesque, right-wing, new age nut-bag. But his major sin is having a massively inflated opinion of his own importance. Jeremy Clarkson's saving grace in comparison is not taking himself very seriously - on screen at least.
