Seems a good bet because I’m pretty sure she cleared the fence to be in the debates.

DEBATES

Postby Sneelock » 14 Jun 2019, 17:40

only three declared candidates are not included in one of the first two debates. (we don't know their names anyway so I won't put my reading glasses on). The DNC promises to spread the "top tier candidates" out over the two debates of 10 participants each.

I like the decision to change the qualifications to reflect the number or supporters rather than how much $$$ but that's all the good you'll hear me say about the DNC right about now.

Are any of these buffoons likely to get Federal government spending under control and slow the runaway growth of Big Government? The latest clown in the White House hasn't yet acted on his promises to drain the swamp so I'm wondering who else might be up to the job.

Biden says that if he's the nominee that he will win Georgia and the Carolinas.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 ... h-carolina
He also says he might win Texas & Florida.

meanwhile, TRUMP is actually bad mouthing FOX News since they are reporting that his own campaign polls have him matching up very poorly with pretty much any high profile Democrat.

Nothing would surprise me. It’s all about turnout, one presumes.

If Obama and Abrams couldn’t get across the finish line there, Biden won’t be the guy to get it done.

Has Biden Stepped in it?

calls for civility are good but singling out two prominent Dixiecrats was a weird fuckin' choice.
this is really biting him on the ass. should it be?

clearly he was going for "I can work with people I don't agree with" but by singling out such gruesome characters he has really opened a can of worms for himself.are people being "too sensitive"? is this being "out of touch with the modern Dem party" as DeBlasio suggests?

the other candidates will be clobbering him with it the rest of the campaign, that's for sure.

Good Elizabeth Warren profile in the New Yorker.

Anyone watch the debates (I didn’t, of course) and have new thoughts about the candidates? I gather Castro could have upped his standing, which is nice. I fear he’s been somewhat unfairly sidelined in all the hoopla, so if he did well, that’s nice I suppose.

Elizabeth Warren and Castro came across well, Beto not so much, unfortunately he seemed rather lost.

Beto makes far more sense as a Senate candidate running against Ted Cruz than he does as a Presidential candidate running against almost anyone. IMHO.

Indeed, tonight it should be interesting to see who comes out on top.

I agree with this, and his Spanish isn't as good as he thinks it is.

Castro did well last night, and Corey Booker, too. If Warren had carried on during the second half like she did during the first she would have run away with it.

Nobody even mentioned Biden's name...missed chance or do they figure he'll just Jeb out?

NPR says on Twitter that SCOTUS rules citizenship can’t go on the 2020 census.

But they didn’t. I’ve typed so many snarky responses and deleted them. Time to step away from internet and get back to work.

Is there any candidate other than Joe Biden who's not a wild-eyed pinko or is Biden every bit as bad as the others?
