I still like the guy. As long as he doesn't run as an independent. In which case he can go to Hell.

I like him too. I just don't think he can win, and I fear it'll splinter things in a more intractable way.

For all TRUMP’S unpopularity he’s been able to fill up big arenas almost everywhere he goes. At this point, the Independent from Vermont is the only one who has done the same sort of thing. Maybe his time has passed - maybe someone else will start to do this. I’m anxious to see how this goes. If he’s still got the Mojo then we’ll soon know. If he doesn’t then his endorsement could mean a lot. I agree that I don’t want the party to split but this might be inevitable. I hope not. Leadership seems to be trying to straddle the fence between the Old Guard and “the base” it’s going to be tricky but I’d like to think it can be done.

Me, I keep meaning to post in the thread because, the fact of the matter is, I like each and every candidate who has declared one way or the other. I think this could be the best damned primary we’ve ever seen.

Frankly, I think if “Bernie Mania” is still with us that’s going to surprise more people than me. Jimbo isn’t the only person I know who won’t shut the fuck up about Tulsi Gabbard but each and every candidate they deride as “too corporate” has already ticked off “the Bernie Bullet points”. I think having this “ground zero” in common with most of the candidates could make for a very productive and issue oriented primary. Ever since Obama started sleeping in, pundits have said Dems need to do more than slam TRUMP. Well, when have they ever done more?

The new congress and the 2020 Primary challengers have issues being discussed more than any time in recent memory. I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Bernie lost a lot of his mojo with guys and gals like me for going along with the fake Russia! narrative. For a candidate who was so obviously cheated by his own party (see Donna Brazil) to then blame another country for costing HRC the election and then after say nothing except "Russia!" is just shitty IMO. One explanation I've heard for his going along with Democratic dogma is because of a new DNC rule which expects (demands?) party loyalty if they hope to get party support in the 2020 election.

Just watched Jimmy Dore Saturday live stream show and he said his favorite candidate so far is Tulsi Gabbard (who is also a bit too waffly on the Russia/Syria narrative IMO) but if you haven't seen Tulsi's name mentioned much in your favorite MSM sources it is because the mainstream doesn't like her anti-war stance. Jimmy sagely said, however, great! If only he is openly endorsing Gabbard then all her supporters will come to his show for info and not to MSNBC where Gabbard hardly gets mentioned - though she is as popular today as Sanders used to be. Dore favors a Sanders-Gabbard ticket.

Calling out Bernie Sanders for going along with a horribly corrupt election system. This is important information.

Kamala is in New Hampshire making sure that everybody knows she is not a Democratic Socialist.
Amy Klobuchar gets a (presumably screened) question at a CNN town hall where the questioner bends over backwards saying she wants change but she wants gradual and reasonable change. Amy smiles ear to ear because this is exactly what she wants to hear.

So, when it comes to issues like Trumpism & Climate change; which candidates will be more exciting? the ones promising gradual change or the ones saying they'll take the newborn by the feet and slap it on the bottom?

we'll see.

That's the Bernie I like to see! In this interview he's allayed some of my concerns about his foreign policy - almost Jimmy Carter-esque - and he is downright exciting when he talks about his domestic plans. And he looks pretty energetic for a guy his age. So, my inclination at this moment is a Sanders Gabbard ticket with Bernie handling the domestic side and Gabbard shaping the foreign affairs.

And no, he isn't doing a Hitler impression in the video freeze frame above.

A hickenlooper sounds like something a 1940s flim-flam man would try to sell me.

Me: "It has? Wait, my what?"
Mechanic: "Oh, this ain't gonna be cheap. You can't just get a hickenlooper from the junkyard."
