The Delines are a great band. I am amused and a little bemused by your desire to control the board. I also pity you, because it must be a lonely and angry life you lead, railing against anyone who isn't aligned with you. But we're not a work now. It's a message board

My view is anything civil is OK, and the nasty stuff we've all indulged in should go, but you don't see it like that. You would rather have skope insulting everyone and anyone because he's such a "loveable character".
I'll say what I always say: you need a break from the board, before you have a breakdown.

Is that ok? Do I need permission for this?

It's sort of finished more or less isn't it? I looked at the front page jut now and there's almost nothing going on.
I go to the cups now to get my fix of writing and talking about music.

Why there and not YY?

It's obvious the interest is there. I really don't understand why music discussion is limited to one subsection.

Well, the cups have a structure and a deadline, and encourage participation rather than lurking, plus in this case 288 tracks to tear apart in a little over a month, but it is remarkable that if it weren't for GM and the NP thread, there wouldn't be a single YY thread on the first page of Active Topics. Let's see what happens when the 70s cup ends and the godawful official yawnathon cup ends: if I'm not too busy with the new house and life in general (which, shockingly for a retired person, may indeed be the case) I'll start a few more threads on singles and artists I like for people to ignore, even though Noddyland is my real home.

Yeah, I don't think it's over, it's just difficult to get traction when there's a cup happening. And a cup's more fun, lots of different music from different places and styles to discuss or savage, randomly thrown at us by a bunch of tasteless timewasters. Despite one small blip, it's been a McCartney-free zone, too.
