Today here it is Fathers Day. I know that over in Europe it is celebrated on the third Sunday of June but the giants of commerce here decided to plant that Memorial Day on the first Sunday of September.
I know that several people here recently lost their dads. Mine passed away 10 years ago and I remember how the first Fathers Day, Christmas Day, birthday and New Years Day without him felt.
I also see a lot of BCB-dads show their pride in their children and enjoy what they bring to their lives every day.
Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there.
in reality, all of this has been a total load of old bollocks

Yesterday enjoying a good cup of coffee with my wife in a coffee shop and I mused, "Pop would have liked this coffee." My wife said, "Do you miss him?" And suddenly tears came to my eyes, as they are right now. Odd , because I'm usually pretty cynical about death. Hey, dead is dead. We're all gonna die someday. But suddenly I'm a sentimental fool for my dad. Happy Father's Day, Dad!
Some say the glass is half-empty others half-full. I say. "Lemme see that glass!"
