Don't reply to Gash, you daft twat. It's great fun watching him try to be edgy and everyone totally ignore him.

More virtue signalling.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

"It is a terrible thing that the Jewish community in this country are in a position where they feel scared of the Labour Party. That should be heartbreaking for anyone in the movement."
-Labour councillor Sam Wheeler.

"There isn't one Jewish community."

"Whataboutery" on Twitter:

Can you imagine if Emily thornberry made a disparaging comment on the attire of Orthodox Jews? She would be suspended and it would be front page of every paper. Boris does it about Muslims and it gets 2 minuted on bbc news immediately after 5 on anti semetism in the Labour Party

Bloody whatabouterists!

David Rosenberg on Twitter:

'The Evening Standard is pressing Ed Miliband to "break his silence" over Labour and antisemitism. But he knows when the Daily Mail used antisemitism against him in 2013, it was Corbyn, not those making a noise now, who defended him and his dad, Ralph.'

1 point lead for Labour.

You pays your money and takes your choice

The only polling company who got modern voter demographics right at the last election were Survation, what do they say? Oh yeah big poll lead for Labour generally.

But let's stick to the ones who were predicting a Conservative majority up until the exit polls came in because they tell us a narrative we are more comfortable with.

Which one do you choose?

The safest bet seems to be the one who called the last election most accurately as it would appear that they were able to get a far more accurate sample of voters than other polling companies, who by and large under sampled young voters and underestimated how many young people would vote, it could have all been luck though.

As I said, you pay your money you tweet the polling company result that reflects your wishes.

They can be made they will just get you labeled an anti-Semite, mainly by people who don't give two hoots about racism in general.

Whereas a bit of chucklesome generalised racism about Muslim women is seen as an essential part of campaigning for the Tory Party leadership now it would seem.

Toby wrote:Also, what sort of society do we live in where jokes about religious garb or dress can't be made?

...was my inspiration.

I know.

Toby seems to enjoy the sort of punching down humour that I thought we grew out of in the 80s when you could still call black men n*****s and Irish men thick.

He also appears to think that part of free speech is freedom from having your speech criticized, which is something you see a lot from right wing snowflakes.

You can make a "joke" about how stupid women wearing the burqa look, you are just going to get called on it; if you made a joke about the religious wigs that orthodox Jewish women wear ( sheitel? sp?) you'd get called both anti-Semitic and misogynistic.

Free speech doesn't mean consequence free speech, Johnson can make racist "jokes" and we will say he is a racist. That isn't denying him his freedom to be racist it is just highlighting his racism.

What evidence do you have that he is racist?
