Cocktails - Any Mixologists?

Postby Jimbo » 24 Jun 2018, 16:52

Recently we are getting into cocktails, my wife more than I since she inherited a shaker and set of martini glasses and wants to learn how to use the equipment. Tonight we had Kiwi Martinis. (I told her it was delicious. And I did get a buzz.)

There is a Shinjuku cozy soft rock bar with top of the line audio equipment we have been frequenting (three times in four weeks) and the "master" bar owner/manager made me a delicious martini and mixed it with such style and grace, topping off his work with a waft of twisted lemon peel. I asked him what to order next time that and he recommended a Sidecar. I got the Sidecar and my wife another Martini. What should I challenge my bartender with next time?

What ingredients would make the Black Cat Boner?

2 Oz. Bourbon
1 Oz. Anise Liqueur
1 Oz. Chicken Schmaltz

Served at room temperature and garnished with a sweet potato.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

Tip. Save a few bucks and remember the cheap schmaltz tastes the same as the one with the fancy label.
