7 x 2 =14
7 + 2 = 9
7 ÷ 2 = 3.5
7 to the power of 2 = 49
7 + 2 = 9
7 ÷ 2 = 3.5
7 to the power of 2 = 49

When writing the digits conventionally, both 2 and 7 can be written with one pencil stroke without taking the implement from the paper

2 is a homophone while seven isn't.

If you turn a 2 the other way up and straighten the curved bit, you get a 7.

Re: Maths is not elitist or difficult HAVE A GO!! Say something about 7 and 2
the sum of 72 and 27 is 99 which is a multiple of 11.
Let's try that with another couple of digits say 4 and 1.
41 add 14 is 55 which is also a multiple of 11
Let's look at more examples
84+48 = 132 which is a multiple of 11
22 + 22 = 44 yes!
37 + 73 = 110 yes!
Why will this always be true...?

63+36
= (60+3)+(30+6)
= 66 +33
= 11(6+3)
So the general case:
ab + ba (where a and b are integer digits)
= (10a +b) + (10b + a)
= 11a + 11b
= 11(a+b)
which will always be a multiple of 11 irrespective of digit values
.
