God you lot are brave. I don't know how you do it. I hate being photographed, it genuinely makes me ill. I can't look at a photo of myself, I utterly utterly hate it.
It must be some sort of mental illness, but where other people think, "oh, a photo of Kal in the garden," I think, "Another record of the time before the inevitable death and decay to come."

My dad hates photos. He says they remind him of death.
I like photos. I don't put a lot of stock in them. I never think I look like myself in photos... but I also never think anyone I know looks like themselves when I see a photo of them. But still, that's not the point. You're the living image, and people will perceive you how they are going to.
I walk around with my face all day, and no one calls me brave. Photos are a lovely record we can have of a split second of the lifetime that makes up a person. I like pictures of all kinds. They're just what they are, and nothing more than some sort of 2 dimensional illustration.

Curating an image for yourself can only go so far, even on BCB. I think it's nice to add a but of realness to this weird thing we all partake in.
