I would like to have a range of sinks and shelves down another wall where the customers wash up their own mugs afterwards, but that might fall foul of hygiene regulations - have to check that out.

The onky food would be biscuits made on the premises.

Who on earth goes to a place to have four coffees?

Someone who is there all day.

And after four cups, I don't know if I'd want someone so jittery washing and handling ceramic cups and saucers.

They might wash up quickly, but half of the stuff would be broken.

Yes indeed. Decaf!

Where did four cups come from, though?

I’ve heard their Sugar Puffs are to die for.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I'm going to open a place that serves nothing but candy and plays EDM and call it Musk & Grimes.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

Four cups @ 50p = £2, cheaper than the refills option

Yes - but they aren't options. The business model would only include one of 50p a cup or the more expensive refills price - not both. I would make more money per cup with the refills option, but would I sell more cups? People like cheap coffee - but maybe not too cheap, and anyway have got used to the idea of expensive coffee and like the idea of refills.

It seems that long ago the street which approaches my condo had a couple of movie theaters. I play with the idea of opening up on that street a boutique movie theater. I imagine somewhere a warehouse with a trove of reels of Japanese subtitled classic films, a used projector or two, oh, and seats! With society aging so rapidly I see an audience who remembers and would enjoy sipping coffee or beer while watching Bridge Over the River Kwai or Casablanca on a screen in a theater.

My day job is one of the toughest going. Why can't I quit it for an ill-thought out pipe dream?
