BCB YouTube Channel

Postby sloopjohnc » 06 Apr 2018, 22:30

One of the things I do at my job is manage my company's YouTube channel and today I was uploading some videos I had done, featured some of them, while deleting some old ones.

It made me think that BCB could have a YouTube channel where members review albums - new and old, or talk about any music topic of interest and take in advertising $$$s once they get enough views. Anyone could manage the channel, but I'd be happy to do it. It's pretty dang easy. I wish I knew how to edit better, but I pay some freelancer to do that. I could maybe get one of my son's friends to do that.

Also, BCB could make some money off it and pass it around for JUs, members in general, or worthwhile charities we all agree on. I wish I'd had this idea 10 years ago to pay for some basketball lessons for Markus, but that day is gone.

I know we can't even agree on an easy topic like Nirvana vs. lame ass Oasis, but what do people think?

The other side of me says I'd hate to be the person that helps makes John Coan or Harvey K-Tel into a YouTube celeb, but if it makes one less person watch a Jake Paul video, it's worth it.

I've tried to push something like this before - I think youtube is a great medium for opinionated, egocentric folk like (some of) us - but I'm not sure the interest is there. But I'd be genuinely interested to see several BCBers hold forth on what interests them.

I suppose it's another platform on which to be called a lazy, apathetic, lifeless piece of shit.
In other words an extended look into *******’s head, and it seems to have some pretty good things in it (who among us is totally free of mental garbage?) It’s nice to see that he is confident enough so he can play some blues again,I’d like to hear more.

Christ, why on earth would you want to watch BCBers?

It's bad enough just having to read their drivel.

How would BCB make any money out of it?

Sloop's weekly contribution, "The Sleeveless Tee Fashion Show" will be a huge advertising draw.

I was listening to the New Yorker Radio Hour this weekend and supposedly Shia LeBouf has become a fashion icon because of his weird, homeless person fashion choices.

It could happen to me and you could say you were there.
