Helvetica and Gill Sans for typing.

There's one I occasionally see used in signage in this country which is beautiful - blocky, 60s, serif thing. I'll see if I can find an example.

I don't know about "favorite" - I guess that depends on the use/situation/audience. However, I can show you one that I will NEVER EVER use or even try to read if ever I encounter it. I give you the beard font:

Palatino and Calibri for emailing and print. More elegant and subtle than Times Roman or Arial.

Garamond is pretty cool.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Way to derail a perfectly good thread on the craft and aesthetics of font creation.

I don't know if anyone else has had to do this, but when I was working for a publisher and creating more ads, I had CDs and CDs of font collections.

It kinda became a sorta sickness, up there with music collecting.

Mark E. Smith font available here for PC or Mac: http://thefall.org/news/mesfont.html

Now your typed text can look like this:

I'm not sure exactly how useful this is since no one else is likely to have it, meaning it won't render on anyone else's device but yours.

Some genius came up with a set of fonts for legal writing. It’s been a smash hit.

Ironically, there's nothing comic about Comic sans.

It's the Carrot Top or Gallagher of fonts.
