I’ll never forget our mutual mincing.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I was supposed to meet up with Beenieman and his family when they were in San Francisco, but we were going to Santa Cruz that weekend and the family wanted to leave that night instead of the next morning so I had to cancel.

I forget Lee's BCB handle, but everyone knows Lee by his "quiff." He was here on his honeymoon so I spent a nice afternoon before they were going to attend a Giants game drinking at a couple places I know near the ballpark. They had been to Alcatraz that day and were sunburned like only UKers can get sunburned when they don't put on sunscreen going outdoors in California.

Thanks. I just asked Django on Twitter and he filled me in too.

That's another guy - Graham/Django visited San Francisco and we went over to Berkeley and record and book shopped and had lunch. He's probably one of my best friends now. Which is funny, because Graham absolutely hates sports and I don't have many friends like that.

We're such good friends that I spent 10 days at his place when I turned 50, six years ago. Coincidentally, he and his wife had a baby son about 9 mos. and two weeks after I left. While I was here, I attended a Leeds JU with all the Northern folks (and Yomp) and a Liverpool JU with Kid P, Dances with Difficulty, Django, Jumper K, John K, Strawberry Shortcake, and Packrat. It was a great time. I got to spend a lot of time with Molony Joy at the Leeds JU, which was great. We had always hit it off on here and I still talk to Spen and check in with him on Facebook.

Kid P's also been out to California a couple times. Six String and I got together with him the first time and saw Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women. The second time, I took Kid P and his girlfriend to San Luis Obispo and we went whale watching and visited Hearst Castle.
