Depends on who goes if i'm being honest. I don't want to be sat next to someone I don't like on here. This thing of "oh they're different in real life" doesn't sit with me. If you need to act the cunt on a website and then be totally different off it, then I think you have some issues. Either way the Irish JU will go ahead if i'm there or not.

Ah! That's why you never came to one when I lived there.

Aw......no.......um........shit :? ;)

So basically we're back to square one. Didn't you once organise a jolly up and didn't turn up?

From my experience, some of the people that behave all nice and kind on here are some of the biggest assholes I've met in real life, and vice-versa, so you might be in for a surprise if you only go to meet BCBers that you think are "nice".
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

I've yet to meet a BCBer in person that I didn't like. And I've met a lot of them.

I met one BCBer once who I really didn't like. Everybody else was at least tolerable.

To be fair, you immediately acquired a different reputation.

Jolly Ups are the preserve of the first generation of BCBers.

How many posters who joined after the ex-Mojo crew had disappeared off to Facebook in the early 2010’s attend Jollys?

How many of the Jolly Uppers actually chip in on BCB these days?

Not true - everyone is invited and anyone would be made welcome. You know I've been urging you to get your arse into gear for ages.

Gosh, I hadn't realised that a Great Migration was perceived to have happened. Seems a bit of a revisionist viewpoint.

How many of the Jolly Uppers actually chip in on BCB these days?

Moddie, Coan, Me, Slider, Diamond Dog, Belle, Quaco, Harv, Hatz, Minnie, Baron, Neige, Carlsson, pb, sloop, Muskrat, Bleep, Tom Waites for No-one, MacAndy, Gradual, Some others I've forgotten, no doubt.

It's true that few post as regularly as they used to but it's probably a lot to do with being jaded by retreading old ground (and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't partly to do with a weariness of dickheadery which is much easier to filter out on FB).

I've been to three, I think. 2 in Manchester and 1 in Leeds. All great. I met loads of great people like Jumper K, Kid P, Betty, Prof, Minnie, Josh, Monkey, Witchypoo and Martin, Evil Dave and Sensi, Djanjo, Brother Louie. Others I've missed too. Was great. I just can't get to London or Scotland.

However, I did go to see Springsteen with Kid P which was a great experience.
